MH Quarter Horses is a small
breeding enterprise owned and operated by Mike and Connie Heap.
Their horses split their time between Cedar City, Utah and the
family ranch in Hatch, Utah. Mike and Connie were raised in Southern
Utah with agriculture and livestock backgrounds. Mike grew up
spending weekends and summers working with cattle and horses. Mike’s
family still runs a small herd of commercial beef cattle on the
ranch and on forest service permits. From his father and grandfather
Mike inherited a love of good horses.
With this background. Mike and Connie began following Mike’s dream
of breeding and raising quarter horses with the ability and
versatility the breed is famous for. They strive to produce horses
with the confirmation, disposition, and intelligence to succeed on
the ranch or in the arena.
MH Quarter Horses is pleased to stand Hancocks Blue Hayes. They have
also been fortunate to build a small but impressive band of mares to
compliment this great roan stallion. They have incorporated into
their own proven working cow horse outcross the time tested and
successful Hancock x Driftwood cross from successful breeders like
Randy Dunn’s Bath Brother’s Ranch and Whipp’s Broken Bones Cattle
Co also Sam Shloultz.
Take time to look through these horses and we’re sure you’ll be as
excited to see the colts from this program as Mike and Connie are. |
